Cryptographic techniques are applied to ensure system integrity, secure communication and data protection.
Communications
Four levels of encryption are supported for external site connections. Network channels are protected with per-connection encryption. Login credentials are validated using secure public key methods.
Cameras
Camera connections are secured. Camera views can be restricted using privacy zones. Users can preserve camera layouts, creating a bookmark that cannot be overwritten.
Data
Passwords are hashed. Encryption methods, along with pass phrases, provide data integrity verification. Archives are protected from being exported to media files.
Footage
Users can password-protect archives to control playback, and footage can be watermarked. Original footage and metadata can only be played via the proprietary Cathexis Archive Viewer.
