Cathexis seamless integrates with camera systems to enhanced security and infrastructure management
The camera is only as useful as the platform behind it.
Most organisations already have cameras on site. Some have invested heavily in specific manufacturers or camera types. Others are building from scratch and need flexibility in what they deploy.
CATHEXIS is built as an open platform, which means it supports a wide range of IP, PTZ, thermal, fisheye, and multi-sensor cameras from the majority of leading manufacturers. Your camera choice is not dictated by your software. Your software works with the cameras that fit your site.
What open camera integration delivers:
When a PTZ camera needs to lock onto a moving subject, CATHEXIS can trigger that response automatically based on a defined event or analytic. When a thermal camera detects heat signatures in a restricted area at night, that event feeds directly into the alarm management workflow. When a fisheye camera covers a wide floor area, CATHEXIS processes the dewarped view and applies analytics to it without additional hardware. When a camera fails or loses connection, the system flags the health event immediately so your team can act before a gap in coverage becomes a problem.
Because CATHEXIS manages all camera types through a single interface, operators work from one platform regardless of the manufacturer mix on site. Footage is recorded, searchable, and retrievable from the same system. Events from cameras of different types feed into the same alarm and analytics workflows.
This matters most when your site grows. Adding cameras — whether the same model or a different manufacturer entirely — does not require rebuilding your setup. The platform accommodates the change.
The result: a video monitoring system built around your operational requirements, not around a manufacturer’s product catalogue.
