Supported Protocols
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
CATHEXISVision provides support for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). SNMP is a protocol supported by a wide range of network devices. In the CATHEXISVision SNMP v2c Trap integration, CATHEXISVision receives and processes SNMP traps (events) in real time from the connected SNMP device. These events can be configured as triggers in Events and associated with video.

Security Industry Association (SIA) Protocol
CATHEXISVision supports the SIA DC-09 protocol. This protocol is used to report events from premises equipment to a central station, using internet protocol (IP) to carry the event content. It is important to distinguish that, while this reporting method uses the SIA Receiver-to-Computer Interface Protocol as a foundation, it is intended for event transport from a protected premises to a central station–possibly using the public internet.
Integration Functionality
The purpose of this integration is to allow for CATHEXISVision video management system to send events to an SIA receiver.
The following information relating to the event will be sent to the SIA receiver:
- Date and time of the event
- The camera resource number
- Event description
- The time that the SIA message was transmitted
