With its proven high-performance capability, our Automatic Number Plate Recognition solution is well-suited to low-speed parking/access control applications as well as high-speed freeway detection requirements.
Overview
CATHEXIS supports several third-party Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras. CATHEXIS uses the embedded Automatic Number Plate Recognition algorithms of these cameras to perform number plate detection. Event information is safely databased in the CATHEXIS integration database. In addition, CATHEXIS also supports Adaptive Recognition’s (formally ARH) recognition engine to receive number plate detection, which is databased in the same manner.

Customisation
Unique groups
Create Unique Groups: The CATHEXIS Automatic Number Plate Recognition software automatically captures and records each number plate as it passes the surveillance camera. The information is saved, and users can then designate various license plates into unique groups. For example: Blacklists, Whitelists, Contractors, and Employees etc.
Set Predetermined Actions for Groups: Once the license plates are captured and the groups are created, users can set up predetermined actions applicable to those groups. For example: an employee vehicle has approached the company parking lot, open access gate.
Ease-of-use
For a simplified user experience, our Automatic Number Plate Recognition allows for the simple setup of cameras at any height or angle, without interfering with accurate identification. The system is then easily configured with a streamlined camera set up to allow for instant use and maximum productivity.
Databased Automatic Number Plate Recognition events can be easily and simply accessed with CathexisVision. Search, filter, and review Automatic Number Plate Recognition database entries using our intuitive database capabilities. Users can create archives from the footage associated with events of interest, and generate and export reports.

Database mining
A beneficial feature associated with CATHEXIS Automatic Number Plate Recognition is the advanced automated data mining software that trawls through the vast amount of data collected. This process can be used on previously captured records for comparisons or to collect intelligence about specific plates.
Traffic rules
Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition software allows users to configure preset traffic rules as suits their site. Available traffic rules are:
- Visit Location: An event is triggered if a number plate is seen at the same location multiple times within a defined time period.
- Visit Area: An event is triggered if a number plate is seen at multiple locations within a defined time period.
- Average Speed: An event is triggered based on the average speed of a vehicle between two points.
- Loitering Traffic: An event is triggered if a number plate has been in an area to too long
Plugins
Push notifications can be sent to a remote HTTP server, of an Automatic Number Plate Recognition event. The notification will include:
- Number plate image.
- Frame image.
- Associated metadata.
