The result is that the CathexisVision Software now utilises far less hardware resources while maintaining excellent results from a recording and live viewing perspective.

By optimising software and database management processes, the CathexisVision software facilitates the ability to manage many more cameras from recording servers. Recently conducted testing on selected hardware has seen CathexisVision Software function seamlessly with well over 1000 HD cameras with bandwidths over 1.5GB/s (1500 MB/s) on a single recording server.
Live Viewing:
Using the new Cathexis Dynamic Video Stream Management (DVSM), the number of live streams on servers can be increased significantly. The solution automatically optimises the choice of live stream selections when displaying multiple video channels with the result being seamless video presentation at high frame rates for many more cameras than was previously possible.
Cost Saving and Lower Power Consumption:
These enhanced software developments make a major impact when it comes to saving on cost of hardware for the customer. Not just because of the reduced number of recording and viewing servers, but also reduction of rack space, network switches and peripheral devices.
