Introduction
AngloGold is an independent, global gold mining company with a diverse, high-quality portfolio of operations, projects and exploration activities across nine countries on four continents. AngloGold Ashanti employs over 30 000 people and is one of the world’s biggest producers of gold.
AngloGold Ashanti required a security solution that would promote the occupational health of its staff, together with the safety of infrastructure and resources, often in hostile physical environments.
Multiple components needed to be harmonised, including guarding, CCTV cameras, access control, fences, fire protection, alarms, x-ray systems and plant management.
Additionally, AngloGold Ashanti required migration from analogue CCTV to a digital system.
